Salary c.£28K – £35K DOE

Our client is a well-established, successful and progressive Company with multiple sites across Northern Ireland.  Due to their continued growth they are looking to recruit a dedicated Assistant Accountant / Accounts Technician to assist with the day to day finance operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded finance professional who has proven accounts experience. Working closely with the Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a range of accounting functions while contributing to the success of a market-leading business

Key responsibilities:

• Bank reconciliations
• Cash sales reconciliation
• Management of Accounts Payable and processing payments
• Supplier reconciliations and liaison with suppliers, customers, and internal departments
• Supporting Accounts Receivable and credit control
• Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes
• Posting journals and performing control account reconciliations
• Assisting with monthly management accounts
• VAT Returns, CIS, and Intrastat reports
• Supporting the logistics department and sales team
• Other ad hoc financial duties as required.

Essential eligibility criteria:

• Recent experience in a fast-paced commercial accounting role
• Qualified Accounts Technician / Part Qualified Accountant
• Experience of preparing management accounts
• Excellent Excel skills (vlookups, sumif, pivot tables etc)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Good numeracy aptitude and keen eye for detail
• Time management and working towards tight deadlines
• Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment
