Salary c. £31,000 – £34,000 DOE

McKinty Associates are pleased to be working with a Global Engineering firm who have a requirement for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team.

Role Overview:

Working within a busy finance team, to ensure all income is invoiced and monies due are received.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Banking
• Raising invoices accurately
• Filing payment run documents
• Setting up vendor / customer accounts
• Managing credit control – credit checks, payment chasing and sending statements
• Analysis of debtor’s accounts
• Liaising with other departments – releasing holds / payment notifications
• Supporting month end processes
• Other adhoc duties as required to support the wider business

Eligibility criteria:

• 5 GCSEs to include Mathematics and English at Grade C and above
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
• Previous experience in a similar role (2 years or more)
• Experience in accounts packages
• Proficient in the use of MS Office software (particularly Excel)
• Strong planning and organising skills
• Good numeracy and time management skills
• Keen eye for detail
• Team player
