Protection Advisor (Self Employed)

Greater Belfast

£ Uncapped OTE

Our client is a leading Financial Services firm specialising in Life Insurance, Private Health Insurance, Income protection and Critical illness and Mortgages. They have a fast growing and expanding group of specialist advisors who work on a self-employed basis and they are looking to expand the Team again. Depending on your experience you will be responsible for selling and advising on these specialist products both Business to Business and Business to Consumer.

We are keen to hear from hard working and driven sales professionals, happy to work on a self-employed basis where earning potential and income is based on the individuals drive and work ethic. Given the current economic climate this sector has not suffered, if anything it has grown.

Experience of protection products would be advantageous but not essential. Existing client base helpful but not essential.

Key Duties

  • Responsible for selling/advising on income protection, critical illness and life products in a regulated environment.
  • Generation of leads.
  • Providing an independent service to clients.
  • Accurate data entry.
  • Submitting and progressing applications to completion covering all compliance requirements.
  • Working with providers ensuring that products are in place within the required timescale.
  • Ensuring all advice is accurate and meets with financial regulations.
  • Preparing and submitting files to providers and compliance.
  • Managing your own workload and diary.
  • Adhoc admin duties.

Essential Criteria

  • Extremely strong sales/presentation skills presenting at either Director level or on a B2C level
  • Extensive business development both face to face and via telephone
  • Strong Client led approach and be able to build long standing relationships
  • Proficient in IT systems, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and results orientated.
  • Problem solving skills and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
