Our client is a leading and growing privately owned employer which has multi sites across GB.  A long standing organisation with a Turnover of £50m+ they are actively recruiting for a Financial Accountant reporting into the Group Head of Finance. This is an excellent business with a long standing reputation and the position will offer promotion and development to the successful candidate.


Main duties will include:-


  • Manage day to day finance function and develop robust controls and reporting processes
  • Preparation of operating budgets, cash flows forecasts etc.
  • Support continuous improvement across the finance team
  • Provide accurate and timely monthly reporting
  • Liaise with external regulatory bodies as required
  • Assist with the creation of corporate financial strategy which in turn will add value for the group
  • Be confident in your ability to manage important financial change initiatives
  • Prepare robust financial evaluations in order to increase operational performance
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls with a view to continuous improvement of the finance department
  • Fully utilize current IT systems which will enable decision support
  • Analysis of performance against budgets
  • Development of KPI’s – working closely with operational and executive teams
  • Oversee an efficient Month End process and strive to enhance were possible
  • Develop departmental Financial IT strategy


Key skills required for this role:-


  • Fully qualified accountant with strong analytical and commercial acumen having gained experience working in the Manufacturing FMCG sector
  • Proven experience working alongside a strategic leadership team
  • Adept communication skills with an ability to challenge the status quo based on robust analytical business judgement
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to people manage and coordinate the day to day finance function within a medium sized organization
