Our client is a growing and locally owned group of companies who are looking to recruit exclusively through McKinty Associates for a strong Financial Controller.  This exciting position will report into a very experienced Finance Director and you will work closely with the leadership team across the organisation.

Some key areas of focus will be to manage the day-to-day financial standing of the group coupled with looking at potential investment opportunities.  We require someone with very strong analytical skills, who can stand behind the complex figures they present with vigor and conviction.

Main duties will include-

• Manage and develop month end financial reporting and finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial and management reporting
• Communication of key financial information to the leadership team
• Report to the Finance Director who will offer development and guidance as you work through your career
• Prepare budgets and business plans
• Develop internal reporting controls and procedures
• Analysis of commercial opportunities, assessing profitability, risk and potential for growth to the business
• Evaluate investment opportunities to compare expected future benefits.
• Report and analysis of current pricing/margins in with existing customer base
• Assist with the project management of an ERP implementation for the business.

The Person:

• A fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
• Experience gained in a commercial and fast paced environment
• Strong modelling and IT skills
• Proven communication skills and keen to add strategic value as part of the leadership team
• Commercial oversight experience
