Finance Manager

£Neg – Guide c.£27/28k

Our client is a respected and growing business based in Belfast. They have a current need for an Accounts professional to join the team and manage the accounting function. Reporting to the Directors, this role will be broad in nature and integral to the business.

This role can be a 5 day week offering however there is flexibility with the organisation so consideration will be given to a variety of options for the right candidate eg. 3/4 days will be considered or reduced hours over 5 days.

Main duties:

  • Overall responsibility for running the Finance function
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Supplier management
  • Invoicing management
  • Credit control
  • Payroll
  • Banking management
  • External stakeholders liaison eg. HMRC, auditors etc.
  • Budgeting
  • Cashflow reporting
  • VAT returns
  • Production of financial information and reports as required
  • Undertake other reporting/submission requirements
  • Streamline and introduce controls, processes and procedures

Eligibility criteria:

 

  • Qualified Accounts/Bookkeeping professional (applications from part qualified candidates / those with exceptionally strong experience will also be considered)
  • 2/3 years recent relevant experience gained in a busy Finance environment
  • Commercially astute and strong business acumen
  • Experience of using Sage is desirable
  • Previous payroll experience sought including RTI
  • Good analytical and IT skills are essential (strong Excel knowledge important)
  • Ability to work under own initiative and with minimum supervision
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and professional demeanour
  • Experience of working in a team and having a positive can do attitude
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload in a busy office environment
