Credit Controller/Accounts Administrator

Belfast (BT6)

£16.5-18.5k (Depending on skills and experience)

 

We are working with a leading successful NI business brand to recruit an Credit Controller / Accounts Administrator to work within their busy Finance function.

 

The main purpose of the role is to support all aspects of the credit control function across several sites.

 

Key duties

 

  • Reviewing and preparation of debt reports, including contacting customers for payment
  • Processing of Direct Debit mandates, including preparation of month end DD collection
  • Maintaining sales ledgers, including daily postings of bank transactions and lodgements
  • Processing credit applications

 

  • Month end reconciliation of all intercompany balances
  • Completing Intercompany schedule for month end submission
  • Reviewing Intercompany balances, preparing and requesting payments as necessary

 

  • Processing of funding invoices, credits and payments
  • Weekly and monthly funding reconciliations to statements

 

  • Working closely with Purchase Ledger clerk to support the Purchase ledger function
  • Scanning and processing of invoices
  • Reconcile all supplier balances to statement on a monthly basis
  • Follow-up and post all reconciling items to ensure complete reconciliation on a monthly basis

Eligibility criteria

Essential:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, in a busy accounts office is essential.
  • 5 GCSE’S at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner

Desirable:

  • Motor Trade experience
  • Accountancy Technician’s Qualification
